Weft fern, Crepidomanes intricatum, synonym Trichomanes intricatum, is an rare and unusual fern. It exists only in the gametophyte stage. This is the haploid stage.

The weft fern is has a limited environment. A cave or cave like environment is required.

Weft fern is only one of two haploid ferns in the Northeast.
